The Lebanese Communist Party condemns the criminal Zionist aggression on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the southern Lebanon

Statements
The Zionist aggressor war on Lebanon continues, having turned into a one-sided war against the Lebanese people since the signing of the ceasefire. The people pay the price with their blood, the destruction of their properties, and their displacement from their lands, as solutions, promises of return, and reconstruction remain blocked. This is a criminal aggression targeting unarmed civilians—elders, women, and children—leaving them homeless in the open on the eve of the blessed Eid al-Adha after completely destroying their safe homes. Through their sacrifices, they embody the true essence and meaning of the holiday.

The Political Bureau of the Lebanese Communist Party strongly condemns this aggression and holds the U.S. administration particularly responsible for the bloodshed of our people, along with NATO governments and all states supporting the occupying Zionist entity. This entity enjoys international immunity that shields all its crimes, atrocities, and barbarity in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and across the region.

The party calls on the Lebanese people to deepen their unity and solidarity in confronting the aggression and urges the Lebanese President and government to assume their responsibilities by raising their voices against the countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement. They must exert pressure to compel the enemy to halt its attacks. The party also calls for devising a comprehensive and urgent plan to ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon to the armistice line and to rebuild the destroyed areas. This should be financed domestically by utilizing the accumulated funds in the state account at the Central Bank of Lebanon, which have exceeded $7 billion, instead of tying the fate of displaced families to external funding and its conditional promises of normalization.

Furthermore, the party calls on Arab and international friendly national and progressive forces to strengthen their solidarity with the Lebanese people, their right to liberate their land, and to rebuild their towns. It calls for all forms of support, foremost among them political and popular pressure on governments backing the occupation to stop this aggression and its repercussions.
